CfP: Slavic studies & JB Tito panels, AAASS, Salt Lake City, 3-6.11.2005 Dear colleagues: The American Association for the Advancement of Slavic Studies 37th National Convention's theme will be “One area or parts of several? Political, economic, and cultural boundaries of the AAASS region in the 21st Century.” Academics (faculty, graduate students & others) as well as journalists and writers and others interested in Slavic studies in America today who would like to take part in round table or panel regarding any aspect of the convention's main theme, please send me your specific topic with a brief bio by the January 14th deadline. There will be also another panel/round table on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the death of Josip Broz Tito (1892-1980). This panel or roundtable is concieved as a reassessment of Tito's historical role and his memory/representations in ex-YU successor states. Please indicate the topic of your interest and your desirable role (paper presenter; discussant; chair/moderator, roundtable participant). The convention will be held in Salt Lake City, Utah, at the Grand America Hotel, Thursday through Sunday, November 3-6, 2005.
