EMBO 4th international workshop for science teachers, 13-14 May 2005 The European Molecular Biology Organization announces its 4th International Workshop for secondary school science teachers, which will take place from 13-14 May 2005 at the European Molecular Biology Laboratory in Heidelberg, Germany. "Spotlight on teachers" will allow selected teachers who have done something special outside normal classroom teaching to present their work: for example, development of new teaching materials - especially practical experiments - or training of colleagues in new practical methods. All participants will also have the chance to discuss new experiments and approaches with leading researchers and science educators. As in previous EMBO teachers workshops, the programme comprises hands-on experiments for all, science talks, an exhibition area and discussions on teaching molecular biology in school. Registration for the workshop (conditional on acceptance) costs Euro 50; everything else, including teachers' accommodation (2 nights), meals and drinks are free. Language of the workshop: English. More information and the on-line registration form are available on the following webpage: http://www.embo.org/projects/scisoc/teachers05.html We would be grateful if you could add a link to the workshop to your website and inform of it as many science teachers as possible.
