Balkan Youth Forum 2004 September 12 -14, 2004, Croatia The Balkan Children and Youth Foundation is organising a Balkan Youth Forum to be held in Croatia from 6 to 12 September 2004. The event will gather 150 - 200 Youth NGO representatives from the Balkan Region with the following geographic coverage: Albania, Bosnia - Herzegovina, Croatia, FYRO Macedonia, Serbia and Montenegro (including UNMIK AP Kosovo), Bulgaria, Romania, and Moldova. Profile of participants: Leaders of child - or youth-serving NGOs, governmental and business sector representatives and donors from the Balkan Region having a solid experience in at least one of the four main programmatic priorities as youth employment/entrepreneurship, youth engagement and leadership, youth policy and life skills learning. The objectives of the forum are to encourage inter-NGO co-operation and networking within the Balkans; disseminate new ideas among youth NGOs; help youth leaders to get to know other players across the region and encourage exchanges; acquire additional knowledge, skills and attitudes that are useful in their youth work; and increase the awareness on the needs and priorities for children and youth in the Balkans.
