Researchers meeting

Ljubljana, Slovenia, 28-29 March 2003

As part of a stocktaking on quality assurance in education and for EDC in Southeast Europe, researchers from nine countries met to discuss and agree on a common research framework and methodology with a view to preparing national reports in this area.

Third meeting

Preddvor, Slovenia, 7-9 September 2003

The project's third meeting aimed at discussing the results of the stocktaking on quality assurance in education and for EDC; exchanging experiences in this field at European level, including examples from England, Sweden and from SICI (Standing International Conference of Inspectorates); providing guidelines on the preparation of the instrument on quality assurance for EDC.

DRAFTING GROUP 

The drafting group was responsible for preparing the tool kit on quality assurance for EDC. At its four meetings it discussed in detail the content and structure of the tool kit, and regularly reviewed and developed the tool kits texts.

EDC-QA SEMINAR

Brdo/Kranj, Slovenia, 27-29 January 2005

The seminar gathered about forty participants including representatives from education ministries, schools (head teachers, teachers), inspectorates, international governmental and non-governmental organisations, as well as EDC coordinators. Its objectives were to present and discuss the draft EDC-QA Tool as well as other products resulting from the EDC-QA project; discuss concepts and practices of quality assurance in education and EDC; draw conclusions for the future development of EDC-QA in Southeast Europe; lay the foundations for regional and national strategies of EDC-QA. The seminar concluded the first phase of the EDC-QA project.
